Hey, My name is Khamisi Harris ,Attorney-at-Law. I graduated from the Norman Manley Law School.

1. The work load is high but it's also cyclical meaning you can prepare and prepare well to avoid unwarrented stress that comes from feeling overwhelmed.
2. Law is very conservative, but shouldn't consume your whole life this also relates to point 1 if you prepare properly, you can do other things law does not have to be your whole life.
4. Apply For Every Opportunity.Law firms and government entities will often contact local universities first when they're looking for work experience students. Sometimes a volunteering position/internship will come up or a scholarship will be up for grabs. I can't recommend enough that you apply for everything that interests you. If you gain nothing else, you'll get really great at self-promotion and develop essential resume and interview skills. You'll thank yourself after you graduate if you've facing all those scary firsts already
5. You Never Know The People You'll Meet. For many of us, this is our first big gig outside of High School. One of the biggest differences you'll experience is that you'll find yourself in a big melting pot of all different kinds of people. There will ba a wide variety of ages and cultures around you. I can't stress enough how much you have to gain by making friends with people that aren't exactly like you.
